Impersonation: Man arrested from RPO Office

A man had come to the RPO’s Office a few days ago and introduced himself as Colonel Malik Ijaz, says Police

GUJRANWALA: A man who was impersonating an intelligence agency colonel was arrested on Saturday after he tried to talk the regional police officer (RPO) into releasing a few robbery suspects. Police said that a man had come to the RPO’s Office a few days ago and introduced himself as Colonel Malik Ijaz. When the RPO asked him for his credentials, he was unable to produce any. Ijaz then threatened the RPO, who had him thrown out, said officials. On Tuesday, Ijaz went to visit the RPO and was arrested.
