KARACHI: Two people, including religious scholar and leader Allama Aftab Haider Jafri, were killed when unidentified men opened fire on their vehicle at a car parking in Saddar, Express News reported on Tuesday.

The second man was identified as Mirza Shahid Ali who works at a private bank.

Allama Aftab Haider Jafri was a leader of the Jafria Alliance.

Meanwhile, three gunny-bagged bodies were recovered from Karimabad. All three deceased were shot in the head.

Police shifted the bodies to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Earlier this year, Jafaria Alliance leader Mohsin Rizvi was attacked along with his son by unknown assailants near Patel Para as they were commuted between  Golimar and their home near Islamia College.

Previously, six people were killed in firing incidents across Karachi, while five, including a police official, sustained injuries.

Two bodies were recovered in gunny bags from the Garden East area of Solider Bazaar.

According to police, the victims were first tortured and then shot dead.

No respite for shia citizens in Pakistan – no political party has addressed it in their party manifesto – all parties want Talibans and their supporters’ votes. hopeless Pakistan.

The situation in the Province of Sindh is no different from Balochistan Dysfunctional Govt. The Govt has no right to Rule.Governor’s Rule in both the Provinces. In fact the Central Govt has also miserably failed. The SC should declare it Dysfunctional.

@Ali: So it begins? so it continues is more appropriate here. People are dying everyday. What has our country become? Muharram is around the corner and the killers are looking to expand their pathetic hunger game.

Shia killing when the country is being ruled by Shias is not understandable. Serious problem with the government, to say the least.

It is my humble request to Express Tribune to kindly address this issue with more intensity. No one is getting arrested, No political leader is taking notice. Shia’s are being targeted everyday now. The one’s responsible are making it clear each and everyday that they’re after a certain community only.Recommend

Government is failed completely to give security to its people. Shias are killed in every part of country, from Gilgit to Parachinar, from Quetta to Karachi. Political and religious parties like PPP, PMLN, PTI, JI, JUI , etc are silent. Police, rangers and other law enforcement agencies are doing nothing to stop these killings.

You got the Pakistan you wanted, not stop whining ! And if you really care, then do something about it instead of waiting for Allah to come to your rescue.

They asked you to bow, you agreed to crawl…

Not only shias, sunnis are also being killed.
Dont cry for shias alone, a lot of innocent sunnis were killed due to sectarian violence.
Whoever else is killing on sectarian basis will live in Jhannam forever.

Sectarian divisions and separatist minds always get such results. It happens when you promote hatred and violence sometimes,it reflects back in terms of a pathetic end.Sectarian fractions need to be ended. He promoted sectarianism and see how he ended.

@Ali: The answer to the problem during Muharram is do not over expose yourself. Processions present a very soft & easy Target to the Terrorists. Prevention is better than cure.

Shias are only 20% of the population but open up any newspaper or any news site and you can image how many of the killed are shia and that too because of their FAITH. other sunnis are most likely being killed by the wahabis too. its unfortunate the shias and sunnis can’t unite and fight and wipe out the wahabis that are being funded by the gulf states.

If Sunnis dont get into action along with Shias against these Sectarian killings. Sooner or later, they will also feel the heat in their own homesRecommend
