HARIPUR:
Three persons have been killed in separate incidents in Hazara Division. A woman and her teenage son were shot dead near Chahng Akhtar Abad in Haripur on Monday.
Police said that Saeed Bibi and her son Zeeshan were on way to Islamkot Mang on a motorcycle when some unidentified persons ambushed them. The accused opened fire at them with AK-47 rifles, killing mother and son on the spot. Police said that Saeeda’s husband Jamshed was also shot dead by his rivals over a family feud some three years back.
Meanwhile, a man was killed after falling into a ravine in Ali Abad village, Bakot in Abbottabad. Police quoted family sources as saying that Abdul Waheed went to a nearby jungle to collect firewood and as he was trimming a tree, he slipped and fell into a ravine, getting seriously injured. He was taken to a hospital, where he died of head injury.
