Pre-election politicking: Hamid Gul meets Nawaz Sharif
Nawaz Sharif and the PML-N have been busy forming political alliances ahead of next year’s general elections.
Gul is also one of the founding members of the religio-political Difa-e-Pakistan Council (Defence of Pakistan), a group which claims itself to be working for the protection of Pakistan. The DPC has on its roster the likes of Jamatud Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed and Ahle-Sunnat wal Jamaat's Malik Ishaq.
Gul has been vocal against improving ties with India.
In late October, Pakistan Muslim League-Zia (PML-Z) chief Ijazul Haq had also announced he would join the PML-N.

Well, why so shocked? This is the famous Mr. Sharif, same old ... What's bad in dreaming the IJI and his rule again? He is the moderate protector of Pakistan, backed by the all time champ Mr. Hameed and the people in the picture above. By the way, what are they doing really? ..... I just wander. I am surprised about one thing; why don't the people of Punjab realize that he will be another Mujib ur Rehman. To be in power at any cost.
May be Nawaz Sharif seeks a strategic alliance with Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Jamat-ud-Dawa :D

Creator of IJI met ameer-ul-momineen of 90s. Nawaz Shareef had broken all the records of taking U-turns. On several occasions, he opposed his links with establishment but this meeting exposed him as an ace of establishment. Shame on PML N

Gul's meeting with NS is purported to forge alliance between PTI and PML N. There is growing fear in the right wing circles that if ideological twins of Hameed Gul are not jooning hands together than PPP will win. It is another attempt by Hameed Gul to deprive PPP of its victory as he did in case of IJI 1993.

Father and son re-unite! Time to gate crash democratic process, rob public mandate, issue "national security threat"/"traitor" labels & distribute money to the politically needy.
I am just trying to picture how Nawaz Sherif would look in a beard, with or without a mustache.
For national interest and well being of the nation, PML(N) is trying to develop alliance with Mullahs and extreme right wing individuals because under PML(N)'s strong leadership, they are expected be well contained and controlled. If extremists join PTI, within no time, they will take over PTI and sideline its weak and vulnerable leadership. General Gul in PML(N) will not be able to call shots but in PTI, he will become its main attraction.
Nawaz must be requesting him to keep his secrets for something in return! So wheeling dealing is its peak! Gul will commit political suicide if he joins of even support Nawaz Sharif!
