HYDERABAD:

Land disputes took centre stage on Saturday as cotton industrialists from Sindh and Punjab gathered in Hyderabad for their annual convention. Members of the Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association also complained about having to pay extortion.

Nearly 1,300 cotton factories from all over the country are members of the association. Mahesh Kumar, the group’s president, stressed that all mills would go on strike if factory owners continue to receive extortion threats.
