Sana Bucha resigns from Geo, joins Dunya News
It is reported that Bucha will now be working with Dunya News and will get the 10pm slot.
Bucha had earlier resigned in July this year purportedly in protest of Geo’s rehiring of Dr Aamir Liaquat. She was, however, persuaded to stay back.
Explaining the latest departure, the TV anchor tweeted saying she has left “Geo because of Geo, not for any other channel.”
JournalismPakistan stated that Bucha resigned because she was upset about Liaquat being offered to host a special show on child rights activist Malala Yousufzai.

It is a big loss for GEO because she is one of very very very few anchors who are not running any party's ompaign in their shows.

Sana hates amir because he called imran khan to his show in ramadan and also encoraged pti and also left a gud sign in the end... Why wasnt any member of pml n was brought to that show...
@safoora: As for as I know, the basic principle followed by all those who have joined Dunia TV was a lucrative monetary package which was very difficult to be rejected.

Sana Bucha, Najm Sethi and Saleem Safi are my favorite tv hosts. Hope the last two stay at Geo , otherwise I will stop watching the New Channel.

Bottom line - She got a better offer from Dunia.

Amir liaqat is just an excuse. She got a good offer from Dunia TV and could not resist the temptation of getting a pocket full money package. Earlier on, Abdul Malik, Younus Butt, Hassan Nisar, Nazir Naji have left GEO and joined DUNIA TV. Don't tell me that they all had objection to Amir Liaqat's appearance on GEO.
So Geo wants Aamir Liaqat over Sana Bucha? Have they lost their minds?

Everyone has a right to make money as much as one can do and every journalist/anchor person is for sale, only the buyer is required. If it was the issue of Principles, why she continued after Aamir Liaquat.

I read a column the other day which said that a retd Pak army officer told a news channel that the leading anchor Mr Kamran Khan was on the etablishment payroll? is it true?
Why is she against Amit Liaqat? & what is her principle stand? Why is she against anybody doing a program on Malala? I think people should stop praising Sana for something which they don't understanad.
At least it is good for PML-N. Sana Bucha known for anti-PTI programmes will give a boost on Dunya TV to the PML-N policies.

It does not matter which channel she works for, she still remains on PML-N's payroll.
To what depths can GEO sink? I have a suggestion, get Aamir Liaqat to host a call-in show on minority rights and religious freedom. Sana Bucha was too good for Geo, she should have left a long time ago.
