The Bajaur Assistant Political Agent (APA) said on Saturday that stern action would be taken against parents who refuse to immunise their children against polio.
During a visit to different tehsils, APA Jahangir Azam Khan said that anti-polio teams will be provided all required resources to vaccinate children.
He directed staff, clerics and tribal elders to create awareness among parents about the crippling disease and the dire need to immunise children, especially those aged below five.
“Eradicating polio is a national responsibility. I will not tolerate any dereliction in the anti-polio campaign,” he said.
