PESHAWAR: A Peshawar court framed charges against the alleged killer of Pashto singer Ghazala Javed. At a case hearing on Friday, District and Sessions Judge Shahbar Khan told Public Prosecutor Qaisar Khan to produce all witnesses before the court on November 14 and adjourned the case for the same date. Javed along with her father was gunned down by unidentified assailants outside a beauty salon in the Dabagari area of the provincial capital on June 18. Her younger sister Farhat registered a case with Shah Qabool police and alleged that Javed’s former husband Jahangir and his two friends Salam and Naseem killed the singer. Police arrested Jahangir Khan on August 29 while the two other suspects nominated in the case are still absconding.
