Slaughter Challenge: Son beats father in a bet

The bet was to see who would slaughter more animals on Eid

GUJRANWALA: A man beat his father in a bet over which one would slaughter more sacrificial animals on Eid.

Azhar and his son Nasir, both butchers and residents of Baghbanpura, had made a bet prior to Eid. They offered their services around the city. Witnesses said the father slaughtered 40 sacrificial animals and the son 45. The father and the son told The Express Tribune that they charged Rs3,000 for slaughtering a goat or a sheep and Rs12,000 for a cow or a camel. Azhar said this exercise was more of a practice for enhancing their skills.
