After Lance Armstrong’s disqualification for doping, Bradley Wiggins has had his position from the 2009 Tour de France elevated to third place, according to the BBC. Since Wiggins was behind Alberto Contador, Andy Schleck and Armstrong in 2009, the cyclist has now claimed two podium finishes following his 2012 Tour de France win. “In 2009, the placing of Armstrong will be reallocated. Bradley Wiggins is the third-placed rider for the Tour de France, 2009,” confirmed an International Cycling Union (UCI) spokesperson.
