Fighting for seats: Two die in scuffle outside shuttle stop

Two people were killed and three others injured when suspects shot them outside the offices of a transport service in Kandiyaro.


Mohammad Issa Panhwar and Waqar Ahmed were killed and Mohammad Safar Ghanghro, Rahib Mangrio and Paryal Panhwar were injured after a dispute broke out among prospective passengers outside the offices of the Kandiyaro-Karachi van service.

Kalhora clansmen reportedly wanted to board the bus for Karachi and quarreled with the van service’s Ghafoor Mangrio. They later opened indiscriminate fire, hit five passersby, and then fled. Mohammad Issa and Waqar died at the spot. Police failed to make any arrests. A group of people later staged a demonstration on the National highway.
