Shooting incidents: Prayer leader shot dead, 2 wounded

QUETTA: A prayer leader was gunned down and two others wounded in separate incidents of firing in Kalat and Quetta. In the first incident, unidentified assailants opened fire on a prayer leader, identified as Qari Ziaullah in Kalat town, on the second day of Eidul Azha. He received multiple bullet wounds and died on the spot. In the second incident, armed men intercepted two men in Killi Noor Muhammad near Brewery Road of Quetta at gunpoint and opened fire. As a result, two persons Noor Ahmed and Muhammad Yousuf sustained injuries. They were immediately shifted to hospital. The assailants fled the crime scene soon after. An investigation is underway but the motive behind the killings is not ascertained.
