Australia thrashed India 6-3 on the fourth day of the Women’s Hockey World Cup with Ashleigh Nelson scoring a brace to help her side claim all three points.

Netherlands trounced New Zealand 7-3 with Ellen Hoog and Maartje Paumen among the scorers in a game which also saw a hat-trick for Krystal Forgesson on her 100th international appearance.

The third and final match of the day saw a close and intense game, culminating in a German victory over Japan courtesy striker Natascha Keller.

Today South Africa and China will meet before England aim to keep their 100 per cent win record if they defeat South Korea. Argentina will battle against Spain, a team in desperate need of a win.
