Missing persons: Protest rally held in Balochistan

QUETTA:

Relatives of Baloch missing persons took part in a protest rally organised by the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBPM) on the first day of Eidul Azha.

People from far flung areas registered their voice against enforced disappearances and the discovery of bullet-riddled bodies of Baloch political activists and intellectuals.

The marchers assembled outside Quetta Press Club. Addressing the protesters, VBMP President Mama Qadir Baloch, sisters of Zakir Majeed, daughter of Dr Din Muhammad Baloch said that people around the world were celebrating Eid and reuniting with their families.

However, the participants had taken to the streets to campaign for the recovery of their beloved ones who were taken hostage.

They claimed that more than 600 bullet-riddled bodies of Baloch missing persons had been recovered, while 400 were killed in targeted killings during Pakistan Peoples Party’s government.
