Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function, Shinde said, “There is some sort of infiltration from the Pakistan side. But we are very alert on this.”
Earlier this month, Shinde had earlier accused Pakistan of continuing to help militants infiltrate into India, saying there were intelligence inputs in this regard.
When asked about incursions from China, he said that there was no intrusion. “I have studied it very minutely. They come and go. They stay there (near the border) for an hour or so… But we have got our people (troops) there. They are all prepared.”
He also said that there was “no war-like situation” along the India-China border.
With a ceasefire in place for more than 10 years now, the India-Pakistan border has not been the only route for infiltration. More importantly, India’s home-grown groups have made it near impossible to differentiate between foreign infiltrators and local militants.

@varuag: pls do some research and talk
@afzaalkhan: "And how is that Pakistan’s problem?" Dear Mr.Khan, it is much the same problem as what Pakistan is blaming Kabul of - providing a haven for TTP. They could turn around and ask you the same thing.
And how is that Pakistan's problem? How about you fix your border security and stop complaigning.
@HN
Loved the humour. Simply superb!!
What ?? Our forces are alert !!! Then how did Terrorist kasab and 9 others entered and butched hundreds ? Still he is enjoying Indian hospitality !!!!
@Gaurav: IRNSS is actually pretty outdated vis-a-vis the decades old GPS when it comes to resolution aspects. Instead of IRNSS what will help the Indian defense establishment is the Russian GLONASS, where Russia has stated that it will share the advanced military components with India as well. IRNSS was started when the defense establishment was spooked as US can scramble GPS signals as they did during Iraq operations and most of the Indian missiles currently rely heavily on US's GPS. Border sensors are the way to go for stopping infiltration and not a Satellite navigation system.
What about Bangladesi infiltrator Mr. Shinde?is pakistan not Indias neighbour?Why this biased attitude.If you can accept 50 million bangladesis infiltrator then why not handful pakistani.
JUST WAIT FOR IRNSS....All of "them" would be located and then relocated to heaven....
More than 95% of the infiltrators get killed before they make it into India - thanks mainly to the advanced border sensors installed on the Indian side with help from Israel and the US. Rather than repeatedly pleading with Pakistan, India should ensure that this is improved even further. But, this doesn't stop the terrorist bosses to send their young brainwashed recruits across.
Pakistan cannot be expected to mend its ways, its India who has to effectively man the borders.
With the recent Malala attacks the pressure is on the Army of Pakistan to do something. Also, since winter is fast approaching they want to get in as many people into India to Terrorise as possible.
Vigil should be maintained and intensified.
infiltration is something which cannot be stopped....be it people,terrorists (assuming they aren't people),animals (LOL)...and what not..strict vigil must be maintained...
