In step with Saudi Arabia: Eid in FATA, some parts of K-P today

In Swabi district, residents of the remote Gandaf area have decided to celebrate Eid on Friday.

As usual people in most parts of Fata including Mohmand, North Waziristan and Bajaur Agencies will celebrate Eidul Azha with Saudi Arabia on Friday (today), though the official Ruet-e-Hilal Committee had announced Eid on Saturday across the country.


Afghan refugees in camps like Munda Hajizai and other parts of tribal areas have announced they will celebrate Eidul Azha on Friday with Afghanistan. In Shabqadar Charsadda few clerics in union council Matta announced Eid on Friday.

In Swabi district, residents of the remote Gandaf area have decided to celebrate Eid on Friday due to a number of Afghan refugees living there. (With additional input by our correspondents in Swabi)

@Khurram Awan: A small reminder for all of us that some people can eat from this land and can enjoy good life here but will never own this land and when anything will arise then they will side with the land of their ancestors rather than with you and always hinder unity among you as they want to live among you but dont want to be like you and dont want to be identified among you

Khurram ji, what an irony. This is precisely what is said about the local Muslim population in other countries - western world in particular. Muslims are known to live in their small communities and they never mingle with the people of their adopted countries.
