Karachi violence: Prayer leader among five gunned down in Gulberg

KARACHI: Five men were fatally injured late Thursday night after armed men fired at a tea spot in Block 22, Gulberg.

Four armed men riding on two motorcycles approached the tea store and sprayed two men Sajid and Rafiq with bullets, critically wounding them. However, the firing also injured other people including the shop’s owner Gibrael, his brother Fida and an employee, Ameer.

The injured were rushed to the Abbassi Shaheed Hospital where they all succumbed to their injuries.

Sajid  was the the prayer leader at Mustafa masjid while Rafiq was a seminary teacher.

@tahir All loss of life is deplorable and this bloodshed should stop. But pls dont call prayer leaders "ulema". They are not scholors usually.
