LAHORE: Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial of the Lahore High Court on Thursday rejected a request from a visa consultancy firm’s owner for the transfer of cases against him from the court of Justice Syed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi. The chief justice directed the counsel of the petitioner to seek the required relief through an administrative order instead of a judicial order. He disposed of the petition and asked the counsel to file an application in this regard. Asim Malik, the owner of Future Concern, had expressed distrust of Justice Naqvi, saying the judge was prejudiced. Justice Naqvi has been hearing dozens of petitions filed against the visa consultancy firm by customers.
