Returning to Pakistan after two years, Nargis held a press conference at her residence in Lahore where she told the media that she had decided to quit showbiz six years ago but had to continue working to pay off debts and for completing her beauty parlour.
Nargis said that she will now pursue religious education and hopes that artists who consider her a role model ideal will also follow the same path.
The host of “Nargis & Naughty Show” is renowned for her gaudy acting and stage performances.
The actor, who claims to be 37 years old, has Lollywood films such as Danda Peer, Shartia Mithay, Mafia, Yaar Badshah, Daaman aur Chingari and Soha Jora to her name.
At the press conference, she rejected accusations that she was involved in the murder of former-beau Juna Butt. Earlier this month, police had arrested a man who claimed that Nargis had offered him Rs1 million to murder Butt, who was a stage producer. Nargis also added that she has faced baseless allegations and that this allegation is part of the same.

That's good for her. She has already passed her prime and cannot earn from her old profession the way she used to be when she was young. And why she shouldn't join the 'Rligious Scholars' bandwagon when people like Junaid Jamshed, Veena Malik, Maya Khan and even Aamir Liaqat can do that and make more money their previous professions. This will make her more wealthy and respectful, like all the others who have done so before her. Good luck to her and the rest who, while finding all the other doors closed to wealth, fame and respect, will be joining her on this Highway to Heaven.
