Lollywood's Nargis to leave showbiz, become a religious scholar
Returning after two years to Pakistan, Nargis held a press conference at her residence in Lahore where she told the media that she had decided to quit showbiz six years ago but had to continue working to pay off debts and for completing her beauty parlour.
Nargis said that she will now do a scholarly course and hopes that artists who consider her their ideal will also follow the same path.
She rejected accusations of getting Juna Butt killed and swore by the Quran as well.
Nargis also added that she was faced with baseless allegations every time she went on an international trip, adding that this accusation was part of the same.

If it is sincere, it should leave the showbiz complete. And her younger sister to stop the dirty work. Nargis felt today when they are not so young as Sharif weight came on television. Now he wants to earn it......Baki Allah dil ka raz behtr janta hay.

I do appreciate her repentance and turning towards Islam but why is she making a mockery of Scholars? You cannot become scholar over night? Moresover there is nothing like Scholar courses.
Good News ! There are many examples in history like Nargis. She could be a good and exemplary scholar in future, InshAllah.

A person can become whatever they wish - only Allah swt can be the final judge. But becoming religious shouldn't mean a holier than thou attitude towards others

Looks like she is ready to enter politics. Let's see who went through similar transformation not too long ago: Perhaps, she will join PTI or a similar religion-exploiting party. Or perhaps, she is about to start minting money by producing and creating religious material like, CDs, religious TV shows, etc. Move over: "Maulana" Aamir Liaquat Hussain. Funny that as soon as a case of murder against her was brought she has suddenly gone maulana. She sounds like some who is hiding something behind that newly found veil of piety.
