Police mobile targeted: Three policemen injured in attack

Armed men opened indiscriminate fire on a police mobile which was patrolling in the fruit market area in Hazar Ganji.

QUETTA: At least three policemen, including an assistant sub-inspector (ASI), were wounded when armed men ambushed a police mobile in Quetta on Wednesday night.

According to police, the incident occurred within the limits of Shalkot police station when armed men opened indiscriminate fire on a police mobile which was patrolling in the fruit market area in Hazar Ganji.

The three policemen were rushed to Civil Hospital Quetta for medical aid. The injured were identified as ASI Gulam Rasool, Constable Abdullah, and Aziz. The injured were later shifted to the Combined Military Hospital for further treatment.
