
Pakistan Army downed KPT 4-1 in a one-sided encounter in their Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) match in Rawalpindi yesterday.
Muhammad Jameel scored the opening goal in the 14th minute before Muhammad Ikram doubled the lead in the 54th. Army’s highest goal-scorer Ansar Abbas added to insult to injury with his 11th goal of the season in the 60th minute, making the scoreline 3-0.
KPT’s Muhammad then managed to net one in the 79th minute but Rehman Ali put the result beyond doubt, adding Army’s fourth goal in the 88th minute.
Army follow KRL in second place with 34 points after 17 matches, while KESC sit on third after 33 points in 16 games. KPT are placed 10th with 16 points after 16 matches.
The PPFL will now resume on November 1 after the Eidul Azha break. Wapda play PAF, while PIA take on Navy after the break.
