According to the poll, both US presidential candidates were given less than 20% approval by Pakistanis, with Romney leading by a narrow margin.
Aside from Pakistan, the poll found "sharply higher" overseas approval of US President Barack Obama in general.
An average of 50% of those polled favored Obama, with 9% favoring Romney, in the survey of over 20,000 people in 21 countries.
France was the most strongly pro-Obama, with approval standing at 72%, followed by Australia, Kenya, Nigeria and Canada.
The survey was conducted by GlobeScan/PIPA between 3 July and 3 September.

If anyone saw the foregin policy debate on Oct 22, then it must be clear that as far as policies that concern Pakistan are concerned both are identical: - drones to continue - condtional aid to continue - pull back from Afghanistan to happen by 2014 December.
Romney is obviously less aware about foreign affairs ( Iran accesses the sea through Syria!!!) but conceivably catch up if he came to power.
Niether sees Pakistan in a very positive light. Obama referred to it in conjunction with Somalia and Yemen. The only way Romney defined it as a country with 100 nukes with weak civilian government.
People are debating report card from there major donor.
Ron Paul!
i stopped even considering Romney when he gave this statement:" You cant divorce Pakistan because it is a country with 100 nuclear weapons and a network of terrorists"
Is this BBC new way of scaring away the Americans to vote for Romney by indulging Pakistan as probably one of its beneficiary.
Do people fail to realize or read that the margin was a NARROW ONE and not PAKISTAN only a FEW people- which don't even represent PAKISTAN polled- so forming an opinion on just some 20,000 people from 21 countries (a pathetic polling statistic) is not even relevant!
Assuming and equal distribution from 21 countries=20,000/21= 952 people from 1 single country polled.
From Pakistan if that is considered a statement- wow- just feel like whooping with joy!!!!
On average 950 people voted from each country. Out of those 950 Romney is leading by narrow margin. For such small sample group the title is absolutely wrong.
Romney would be the better President than Obama for Pakistan Obama give terrorism and made policies against Muslims during his Presidential tenure
Its just hope Pakistanis have. Not knowing that nothing will change for the better. It will definitely get worse with Romney !
World Record call the Guinness World Records people
Does it really matter what they said ? It's all for dumb American audience. What matters is what they do once they get into office.
This news was there on BBC four days ago. Pathetic journalism by ET
That is because Romney is most likely to go to war, which in truth is big business for Pakistan. It means dollars and weapons for our military and a prolonged influence in the region. Military is skilled at shaping public opinion.
It's like choosing your executioner.
Romney or Obama..whoever is elected, not gonna affect Pakistan..
