
The convict, Ali, was found guilty of extorting money from the manager of a garment factory.
He was convicted under sections 385 and 386 of the Pakistan Penal Code, which deal with extortion offences, and under section 6 (2) (a) of the Anti-Terrorism Act of 1997. The FIR of the case was filed in 2010. According to the court’s verdict, the time Ali spent in jail during his trial will be included in his five-year sentence.
