PESHAWAR:

Banned outfit Hizbut Tahrir has distributed pamphlets in Hayatabad asking for animal skins to be donated to them.

Peshawar DCO Javed Marwat on Tuesday, said that call for donations by banned groups had just been brought to their notice and that they would take strict action against all such organisations.

The city district government has also imposed Section-144 for the next 15 days and orders have been issued to ban the use of loudspeakers to make announcements to collect animal hides.

The civic body’s orders also state that no organisation will be allowed to establish a ‘collection point’ for these hides within the city premises.

NGOs will need written permission from the city district authorities if they wish to collect the skins.
