Targeted killings: MQM’s new JI recruit shot dead

At least two armed attackers on a motorcycle fired a volley of bullets at the new recruit.

KARACHI: Joining the Muttahida Qaumi Movement apparently proved fatal for 21-year-old Fahim Imran. The former activist of rightwing Jamaat-e-Islami was shot dead in New Karachi within the limits of Bilal Colony police on October 21. At least two armed attackers on a motorcycle fired a volley of bullets at Imran, who was standing at the gate of Masjid-e-Talha, said DSP Mohammad Akhtar. The victim was also a member of the mosque’s organising committee. Imran was shot thrice and died on the spot. His body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
