Growing industry: BoK’s profits increase since last year

The BoK’s total deposits from the beginning of the year till Sep 30 were Rs58 billion.

The Bank of Khyber (BoK) earned Rs1.181 billion profit in the third quarter of this year that ended on September 30. While reviewing the operational performance of the bank in a meeting on Monday morning, BoK Managing Director Bilal Mustafa lauded the bank’s performance and growth in all its operational areas. In his speech, he said that due to the increase in branches, the bank was able to attract more clients helping them grow and play an increasing role in the socio-economic development of the country. Mustafa added that despite unfavourable economic conditions in the country, particularly in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the BoK’s total deposits from the beginning of the year till Sep 30 were Rs58 billion, indicating a 46% growth as compared to Sept 2011.
