Landmine explosion: Four security personnel injured in separate incidents

Three security personnel were injured as lightning struck a security checkpoint in upper Kurram Agency.

Three security personnel were injured as lightning struck a security checkpoint in upper Kurram Agency, according to an official of the security forces.


“The men were sitting in a small cabin when lightning struck them around 3:30am,” said the official.

The security personnel were shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Thal. The officers were identified as Akhtar Shah, Muslim and Alam Shah and are said to be in a stable condition.

In another incident in Bushaara area of upper Kurram, an officer was injured when he stepped on a landmine.

The official further said that the officer was patrolling the area around 7am when he stepped on the landmine and injured himself severely. Officer Muhammad Jalil was shifted to the CMH after the accident.
