Postgraduate education: UoP holds entry tests for Masters degrees

PESHAWAR: As many as 7,500 candidates appeared in the entry test on Sunday for University of Peshawar’s (UoP) MA, MSc and LLB degree programme, held under the National Testing Service (NTS). The test was held for 3,700 seats that UoP is offering for Masters degrees at 43 departments. Five exam centres were set around Peshawar, all monitored by the NTS team. As per quota, the UoP has allocated one seat each for minority students across each department at the university to be offered to them at regular fees. University of Peshawar has also decided to waive the tuition fees of five students who secured the first division in their BA examinations and are interested in pursuing an MA in Philosophy.  The results of the test will be available on the NTS website (www.nts.org.pk) and the UoP website (www.upesh.edu.pk) three days after the exams.Merit list generated on the basis of NTS marks and marks obtained in BA and BSc will be displayed within a fortnight at the respective departments.
