Murky details: Police register case in MPA attack

KARACHI:
Police have registered an FIR against unidentified persons for attacking a parliamentarian of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Kulsoom Chandio. The MPA told the police that she was talking on her phone when she was shot by two armed men. The attackers reportedly managed to escape. According to the police, no bullet wound or other evidence of the attack has been found. The police added that her medical reports suggested that she had been wounded by a knife. SP Faizullah Korejo said that the case was still being investigated.
