Political chat: PPP workers confident in Zardari

BAHAWALPUR: Pakistan Peoples Party workers on Saturday expressed confidence in the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari and said the PPP would with the general elections.At a PPP district organization meeting at the residence of Bahawalpur PPP Vice President Munawar Hayat Abbasi, they said the PPP leaders had done well in the face of various crises. They said President Zardari had protected democracy and ensured supremacy of law. This was the first Bahawalpur district meeting of the PPP since its reorganisation. District President Aamir Yaar Warran chaired the meeting and Deputy Attorney General Khan Muhammad Hussain was the chief guest. Bahawalpur PPP Information Secretary Muhammad Saleem Bhatti, General Secretary Muhammad Ali Ahsan and Divisional Peoples Labour Bureau President Sadiq Ali Noushad, too, attended the meeting.
