Football: Capello backs under-fire Milan boss
Capello insists AC Milan boss was getting the most out of his squad.
Former England manager Fabio Capello has come out in support of under-fire AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri, according to sportsvibe.co.uk. AC Milan have earned only seven points from their opening seven Serie A games and are currently 11th in the table, ten points behind leaders Juventus but Capello, who had three separate stints coaching AC Milan, believes that Allegri is still doing a good job. Capello insisted that the AC Milan boss was getting the most out of his squad, which lost the likes of Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the off-season. “I think Allegri is a great coach,” said Capello. “I talk often with him, and it is clear he is very well prepared. At this time, it is very important that Milan go on to the field without any awe, and that the players play to their maximum.”
