CJ summons PIA officials over flight delay
The flight, which was to be boarded by the chief justice, was delayed by more than 3 hours.
When other passengers waiting in the lounge approached him and informed him of the constant delays, the chief justice called PIA officials and asked for an explanation.
He expressed displeasure and took notice of the incident.
PIA officials told Justice Chaudhry that the flight would take off in half an hour to one hour, who then told the PIA chairman to take notice of the incident and find out why such incidents take place.

@Nadir: Which country you are talking about? There is a hefty fine in Europe for delays on the airlines.
And now the CJ interferes in flight operations. True, PIA is horrible airline, but should a CJ interfere in an airline's workings? Too bad, he doesn't have jurisdiction in the USA; Americans have a number of issues on which he could opine. Or maybe, he should summon the foreign minister of Pakistan and ask her to approach Washington and ask it to solve Americans' problems. After all, why should only the people of Pakistan benefit from this self-declared solvers of all problems? He should benefit the entire mankind. Perhaps, he should ask the foreign minister to approach all governments of the world and ask them to fix their peoples' problems. The companies which are run with public exchequer must be answerable to public. Its about time PIA’s corrupt management and its union answer to public for constant delays due to poor maintenance, etc. Why public money is being poured to maintain their jobs? It is unconscious-able for PIA to reroute a plan to pick up an MNA. CJ must take a notice of that and PIA officials as well as that MNA should not only be punished for that but also they should pay back tax payers expense that incurred in do so along with penalty.
You haven't done anything in the last 15 years anyways, other than giving clean chit to Musharraf. So, you lost another 3 hours, whats the big deal?
Flights get delayed all over the world. No one has ever seen any CJ seeking an explanation.
CJ is behaving like a viceroy. Overstepping his lines by calling "explanations". Given his stature and public position in this situation, he could;ve ensured that a proper complaint was registered and taken seriously. That's about it. No law was broken because of a flight delay, no miscarriage of justice done by the airline. This maulvi CJ is polarizing the judiciary, and islamizing the law, marginalizing tolerant and non-muslim segments of society.
PIA has announced that all the passengers whose flight has been delayed by 16 years or more can be considered for compensation, provided they apply for it.

Just last week, a PIA flight to Islamabad made an unscheduled stop in Nawabshah to pick up some PPP MPA. Is that how an airline should be run?
Is it CJ's job to monitor PIA flights!!?? It would be more appropriate to look into court cases taking years and years!

So other travellers sitting in the VIP lounge, waiting at the tax payers expenses, complained! Mororns!
Whats wrong with the CJ!! In no country in the world, if a planes captain delays a flight is he questioned. His decision is final.
PIA has wasted people's tax money in billions for last 2 decades or so, about time they start answering, if they cant do there job, I'm sure there are more competent people waiting in line to replace the politically appointed incompetent management and workforce.
