GUJRANWALA: Medical Store Association President Iftikhar Goga said on Friday over 2,000 medical stores had not been issued renewed licences since 2007 by the district health officer. He said no objection to the applications for renewal of the licences had been communicated. He said both the shopkeepers and drug inspectors were upset about the situation. He said that according to drugs rules, the licence of a medical store should be restored in 45 days if there was no objection to it. Executive District Officer Health Dr Azhar Masood said he was not aware of the pending applications. He said the shopkeepers should approach him and he would issue the licences if there was indeed no objection.
