Govt committed to Balochistan socio-economic development: Zardari

Raisani briefs president on law and order situation in the province as well as progress on socio-economic projects.

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari reiterated the government’s commitment to the socio-economic uplift of Balochistan, adding that it remains their top priority.

Zardari was speaking to Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani who had called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Thursday.

The Chief Minister apprised the President about overall situation of Balochistan, especially the law and order and progress of developmental projects in the province aimed at raising the standards of living of the people and generate socio-economic opportunities for them.

The President reiterated the commitment of the government to accord priority to addressing the issues of the province and to continue striving for the socio-economic development of the people of Balochistan.
