KARACHI: The Pakistan Post found a letter in a letter box at its General Post Office (GPO) in Saddar, threatening a bomb blast. In rough handwriting, the letter cautioned that from October 18 to October 25, 25 mobile phone-sized modern sensitive bombs would be put into that particular letter box which would explode whenever it was opened. Strangely though, the letter mentions the name and address of the person who would be putting the bombs in the letter box. It said this man was a member of the “underworld” and was involved in the October 18 Karsaz bomb blast and the May 12 outbreak of violence.  “We have sealed that particular letter box and we will report the matter to the Inspector General of Police, Sindh,” said Assistant Postmaster General (Inspection) Muhammad Saeed.  This is not the first time such threats have been received. Once an employee was injured by a cracker concealed in parcels for police officers.
