Unemployment leads to terrorism, extremism: Farooq Sattar

All stakeholders should play their role in eliminating poverty and joblessness from the country: Federal minister

KARACHI: Unemployment has been one of the major causes behind the spread of terrorism and extremism in Pakistan, said Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Dr Farooq Sattar on Wednesday.

Sattar was addressing the Third Global HR Excellence Awards-2012 as a chief guest at a local hotel.

Acting Sindh Governor Nisar Ahmed Khuhro presided over the ceremony.

Sattar said that all stakeholders should play their role in eliminating poverty and joblessness from the country.

He stressed that to put Pakistan on the path of progress and prosperity, economy should be improved and literacy rate should be raised.

Saying the obvious without doing anything about it, especially as you'll are the government, just erodes your credibility.
