Charges dropped: ATC acquits two men of extortion

The trial reportedly wrapped up within three months after the case was filed by the Surjani police earlier this year.

KARACHI: Amid a strike by lawyers on Wednesday, the Anti-Terrorism Court II announced its verdict in an alleged extortion case. Two men, Bashirullah and Kareem Dildar, were acquitted by the court on charges of extortion, common intent and criminal intimidation. The trial reportedly wrapped up within three months after the case was filed by the Surjani police earlier this year.
