KARACHI: The Pakistan Hockey Federation’s (PHF) executive board meeting will be held on Monday with the fate of the team management and selection committee high points on the agenda.

According to a PHF official, the Lahore meeting will initiate the reshuffle process following the Olympics aftermath while keeping the 2014 World Cup in mind. The PHF, following the Greenshirts’ seventh-placed finish in London which triggered calls of an overhaul, is yet to make any changes. However, the body appointed Olympian Tahir Zaman as a coaching consultant, though it is yet to be made official.

“There will be a stepwise repair,” the official told The Express Tribune. “The decision regarding the selection committee will be discussed and changes are likely to be made.”

The official added there are remote chances of change in the chief coach’s position while the assistant coaches might be replaced.

“It will be the next step. After the changes are made in the selection committee, the selectors can decide whether they want to rely on seniors anymore or not.”
