KARACHI:

While Color Studio Professional make-up products have been available at local stores, the brand officially launched their flagship kiosk with a red carpet event at the Fashion Boulevard at Dolmen City Mall in Clifton.

The organisers describe it as a concept make-up store containing a built-in makeup setup, nail art counter make-up display. Amongst the excited guests was VJ Anoshey Ashraf, stylist Beenish Pervaiz and other young models.

“I am really enjoying doing these live make-up demonstrations because I haven’t done anything this interactive before,” said Parvez, referring to the makeovers being given to the models.

The brains behind the brand, CEO Ozair Mateen, was happy to welcome the guests to the newly launched venture. “I need to honour myself, commit to my product and always improve my product line. A good product will speak for itself,” he said, expressing his confidence in the make-up brand.

He also added that he hopes to introduce training workshops and make-up tutorials in Pakistan, initiatives he feels no other brand has started yet.

A graduate from the University of Toronto, Mateen said he always had big dreams about launching his own make-up brand some day. Coming from a family that built a 20-year-old relationship with Rimmel, Mateen has high ambitions for his brand.

While it offers a range of products from regular nail polish, mascara and lipstick, the brand boasts that all its make-up is dermalogically tested just like luxury Italian brands Dior and Chanel. The aim of the company, Mateen reiterated, is to produce an appealing product which is good for the skin.

Mateen elaborated that while CSP is an American brand, it is especially designed for middle-eastern skin, and is growing internationally because it is preservative-free. He added that he soon plans to enter markets in Dubai and Saudi Arabia and plans to launch his products aggressively by opening flagship stores and kiosks here in Pakistan. Having already partnered with salon Alle Nora, they also plan to supply their products to all salons in Karachi so that they can be easily available for bridal looks and make-up shoots.
