Kareena Kapoor Khan’s cousin Ranbir Kapoor skipped her sangeet function to attend Zoya Akhtar’s, (director-actor Farhan Akhtar’s sister) birthday bash, although even his mother Neetu Singh was present at the ceremony despite her cold war with Kareena’s mother Babita.
Interestingly, Ranbir was neither spotted at Kareena’s mehndi ceremony nor at the marriage registration. However, the young actor managed to make it to her post-wedding function/nikaah, which took place after the marriage registration.
“They just exchanged vows at the Taj Mahal hotel in Colaba. There were no ‘saath pheras’,” the bride’s close friend and fashion designer Manish Malhotra told the Press Trust of India.
A celebration was planned at Saif’s ancestral home in Pataudi on Wednesday and the couple will now be hosting another reception at an Aurangzeb Road bungalow today on Thursday. Saif’s mother Sharmila Tagore has invited a number of political bigwigs to the event, reports the Hindustan Times.
