An official of Jamrud sub-division named Farhad said that all four of them were gunned down in the areas near the border, adding that the bodies were still lying in the mountainous region as no one has claimed them yet.
The official added that the bodies were lying there since 6:00am.
However, locals from the Toor Darra area claimed that the bodies were of the Afghan National Army personnel gunned down by unidentified militants, adding that it wasn’t clear that they were killed in Afghanistan and then thrown in Pakistani territory or they were kidnapped, taken to Pakistan and then gunned down.
Locals said that a shepherd from the area, who was grazing his sheep in the mountains, informed them about the bodies which were sprayed with bullets.
They added that so far no one has claimed the responsibility for the killings.
A local source from the area said that the deceased were working with the foreign troops deployed in Afghanistan and were spying on militants in the region. However, they could not be identified as yet.
