Malala incident: Rehman Malik offers $1m bounty for TTP spokesman

As authorities investigate the attack on 14-year-old Malala Yousafzai, Interior Minister Rehman Malik offered a $1 million bounty for Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan, CNN reported on Monday.

Malala was attacked by Taliban gunmen on October 9 when she was on her way from school.

The TTP said that they will target her again if she survives because she was a “secular-minded lady”.

“She was pro-West, she was speaking against Taliban and she was calling President Obama her idol,” Ehsan had said via telephone from an undisclosed location.

“She was young but she was promoting Western culture in Pashtun areas,” he said.

Malik also recently announced that Sitara-e-Shujaat will be awarded to Malala for her bravery.

@Something Clever: Chechnyan leader also had, so Russians sent a missile on him when he used his phone. We are supposed to believe both US and Pakistan are unable to do it?
