KARACHI: PAF ended KESC’s winning streak in the Pakistan Premier Football League, prevailing 1-0 in the match in Peshawar, while NBP climbed to the top after a win over ZTBL.

Mohammad Mujahid scored the lone goal in the 15th minute with KESC failing to equalise despite several attempts. To add insult to injury, KESC’s Wali Khan will miss the next game after being red carded. Meanwhile, Mujahid said the win over KESC would give the team a lot of confidence.

“It shows we are capable of winning the title as well,” Mujahid told The Express Tribune. “KESC are a strong side and they tend to play rough when they are losing, but we just proved we have potential.”

The win consolidated PAF’s fourth position in the league, while KESC slipped to second.

In the other match, NBP went top of the table after beating ZTBL with a goal from Misbahul Haq sealing the result in the 87th minute. Meanwhile, the match between Wapda and Navy in Lahore and PMC Athletico and Baloch FC will now take place today after being postponed due to heavy rain.
