Maintenance: Man summoned for ignoring family

Petitioner said husband was not paying maintenance for their children.

LAHORE: A judge on Monday summoned a man who has allegedly expelled his wife from their home after she was diagnosed with cancer. Petitioner Perveen Bibi said that she had married Muhammad Amir about five years ago and had two children. She said Amir had expelled her eight months ago after he learnt that she was suffering from cancer. She said she belonged to a poor family and her father had died. She said her mother was facing problems in looking after her other children. She said Amir was not paying maintenance for their children.

After Amir did not appear on Monday, the court summed him for October 25.
