Inter-povincial gang: Two bandits held with Rs1m booty

BAHAWALPUR:
The Ahmadpur East police said on Sunday they had arrested two members of an inter-provincial gang and recovered foreign currency bills, silver, gold and other valuables worth Rs1 million from them. Deputy Superintendent Police Rana Naveed Mumtaz told a press conference police team led by Inspector Hakim Ali raided a residence and arrested Ghulam Mustafa and Mohammad Akhtar who were involved in robberies in Karachi. Mumtaz said the men had carried out robberies in Karachi and returned to Ahmadpur East with the booty. He said police were conducting more raids to arrest four other members of the gang.
