Attack on Malala: Schools’ body holds protest

Students were carrying posters of Malala, placards and banners inscribed with different slogans.

QUETTA: Students under the banner of Balochistan Private School Foundation (BPSF) on Saturday staged a protest demonstration outside Quetta Press Club against the brutal attack on peace activists Malala Yousufzai and other girls in Swat district. The students were carrying posters of Malala, placards and banners inscribed with different slogans against the attack on Malala. They raised slogans against the perpetrators of the attack. BPSF chairman Jaffar Khan Kakar, Mumtaz Khan Jadoon, Nazar Mohamamd Baraich spoke on the occasion. They said that religious extremism was increasing in Pakistan and the recent attack was the result of the same trend. Under no law the girls could be deprived from their right of getting education, they said.

I pity the women and girls living in areas under taleban control.
