Accident: Girl drowns as boats collide

MANSEHRA: A girl drowned in Tarbela Lake when two boats collided near Darband here on Saturday, police and witnesses said. The girl’s body could not be fished out despite efforts by local rescuers. Police said passengers were boarding a Haripur-bound motorboat on Tarbela Lake when another boat coming from Haripur crashed into it and caused the former to capsize. Three men and a girl fell into the lake, however, while the men managed to swim ashore the girl drowned. The girl was identified as Sabeeha Bibi, 10, daughter of Taoos Khan of Chamgah village in Torghar.
