Cricket: Faysal Bank through to T20 final

Faysal Bank brushed aside Dubai Islamic Bank by 10 wickets in a high-scoring match.

KARACHI: Faysal Bank brushed aside Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) by 10 wickets in a high-scoring match, while Bank Islami (BI) thrashed the Aga Khan University (AKU) staff team by 75 runs to book their place in the final of the eighth AKU Twenty20 Cricket Tournament that takes place today. Faysal Bank batted first and posted a competitive total of 179 for seven in 20 overs. Ashir Hasnain made an impressive 90-run knock. However, DIB’s Usman Farhat played a swashbuckling innings, playing an unbeaten 106-run knock off only 54 balls, to help his team reach the target in 16.5 overs.
