Presidential spokesperson Senator Farhatullah Babar said that Zardari enquired about the health of Shazia and Kainat, who were travelling along with Malala when their school bus was attacked by the militants.
Zardari praised the children for continuing with their education despite threats.
He added that these children represent the true face of Pakistan. “They are a national asset and had raised collective national consciousness against militants and extremists,” he said.
The president also called for a report on the injured’s condition.

I'm so proud of our generous President Asif Ali Zardari!
Please people stop spreading hate or being sarcastic Let appreciate good thing. If there is a rule that only those people have right to complain who really pratically done some thing for Pakistan . Than I am sure there will be zero comments. Just remember this goverment first one to give recognization to this girl , make her hero. And now they provide the medical facilities
President on duty ........
It is political brownie points earned by this President, why he has to jump in to facilitate for the other two innocent young girls, it is the responsibility of the local and provincial governments, they are not doing their job. What about thousands of people who has died in the terrorist attacks, did the President facilitated anything for them. My heart goes out to these innocent brave girls and we as Pakistanis should be there for them, keep these corrupt governments out of it, THEY FAILED TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE SECURITY TO MALALA AND NOW GETTING THE PRAISES LIKE IT IS THEIR MONEY THEY ARE SPENDING ON THESE UNFORTUNATE GIRLS. This government is most incompetent and corrupt to the core, so people see through them.
I am sure Malik Riaz, the owner of Bahria Town will bear all the expenses on the treatment of three Swat girls, on behalf of his benefactor Mr. Zardari.
So healthcare is to be provided on the directives of President? This only happens in Pakistan
Why is the press naming victims who are moreover children?
The Civilian Military Divide +++++++++++++++++++++ Malala is under Military treatment but these two girls under Civilian care:)
Thank you Mr. President. Now how about asking your party to go after all kinds of taliban and extremists and eliminate their curse on your nation? Make it the duty of each party worker.
Finally after 4 days they have diverted their attention to the other two students... May they, along with Malala, also get well soon, AMEEN!!
